Arbitration and mediation

An arbitrator and mediator who is both an advocate and a CPA. One process, one person who understands the contract and the accounts.

An arbitrator who can read a balance sheet, a profit-and-loss statement and the accounts between partners gets to the root of the dispute faster, without waiting for an outside expert.

How the process runs

  1. Enquiry and first meeting. The parties set out the dispute and consider together whether arbitration or mediation suits it.
  2. Arbitration or mediation agreement. Framework, timetable and a cost known in advance.
  3. Hearings and review of the material. Including the financial statements, with no outside expert.
  4. Award or settlement. A binding decision, or an agreement the parties sign.
